SyFy domain name owner gets ripped-off when NBC pays him a quarter-million dollars for it
Over at Airlock Alpha, proprietor and SyFy fan-hero Michael Hinman is really speaking up for the rest of us by standing up to the corporation that paid him $250,000 to buy the domain name SyFy.com. First of all, a name like that is priceless, I don’t care who you are yet alone if you’re NBC Universal and filthy rich. And B, I don’t care how much money you paid for SyFy, there’s no possible way you could give enough credit to Hinman for developing the brand over all these years and from all the way back since Web 1.0 no less! Finally, how dare you NBCreeps not give credit where credit is due: Hinman came up with the name. He’s the creator of the name. Not some executive from NBCUniverstupidity.
